Boston bombing suspect suffers throat injury, may not be able to talk

Official: Boston bombing suspect suffers throat injury, may not be able to talk - NewsChannel 9 WSYR

BOSTON (CNN) - The surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings suffered an injury to his throat and may not be able to talk, a federal official told CNN on Saturday, possibly hindering attempts by authorities to question him about a motive in the attack.

With one suspect dead, authorities believe answers to a motive and whether the brothers had help rest with Dzhokar Tsarnaev, who was captured Friday night just minutes after authorities had indicated that a massive manhunt for the suspect appeared to come up empty.

The official, who was briefed on Tsarnaev's condition, spoke on condition of anonymity.

Tsarnaev was in "serious but stable condition" and "not yet able to communicate yet," Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick told reporters during an impromptu briefing on Saturday.

Federal prosecutors are at the heavily guarded Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where Tsarnaev is being treated for wounds. Authorities have not publicly detailed the injuries sustained by the teen.

Let's be real here: they had no intentions of catching this guy alive. The cops wanted him swiss cheesed up but the feds probably had to make sure that didn't happen so they can get answers and find out if there were more people involved. With everything that went down this week it's hard to believe he's only 19 years old. He's still a fucking kid!
I feel bad for that family who were looking for that missing kid Sunni from Brown University. The media put his pic and name up and his family got so many threats they had to take down his facebook page. That kind of mix up put his fam through hell & i wouldn't blame them if they sued every media outlet that had his name & face up. They don't even look alike but people didn't take the time to check the pictures. They could have at least looked at the moles on the missing kid's face & see it wasn't the same person.
